Reviews
New York Deli in Smyrna, Georgia, is a solid 10! Despite our Southern location, it mirrors the authentic vibes of a true Big Apple deli. Miss Kayla and the staff bring a fantastic personality to the table, making the experience memorable. The pastrami sandwich, especially the Peachtree pastrami, is an absolute delight – as close to authenticity as it gets. And the "heart attack" – pork roll, egg, and cheese – is a nostalgic taste of home from the Northeast.
To top it off, the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich was nothing short of amazing, adding another layer of satisfaction to the menu. A genuine slice of the Big Apple in the heart of Georgia!
This is hands down the worst breakfast I have ever had. The breakfast potatoes were unseasoned and tasted so bland. I had the turkey sausage breakfast sandwich. The turkey sausage tasted very low quality. The French toast I ordered tasted like they used meat grease to cook it. I took one bite of everything and threw it away.
So good! Great service and atmosphere. The outdoor patio has fans/heating and is dog friendly!
Service was great. Employees were so happy and enthusiastic!
I had chicken salad sandwich. I’m a chicken salad snob. It was so GOOD! It tasted homemade and I was pleasantly surprised. Great little shop. I can’t wait to try the other menu items.
This place isn’t what it used to be. I’m a long time customer from the days they had their start up location in Vinings. The Marietta location had been my regular place to go for years, but it was closed back in 2020.
Walked into Smyrna location the other night. Took a minute for someone to come take our order. While standing there, we noticed a sign stating the wait time was 45 minutes to an hour on weekends. For a sandwich shop? Not sure why. But we won’t return if the long waits remain.
Unfortunately they have cut corners on meat quality. I had the fried bologna sandwich special. It was not even close to the quality of this sandwich they had on their menu a number of years ago. The meat looked more like thin sliced ham than thick sliced bologna.
Hopefully they get their act back together. We drove 25 minutes to eat here. Things will have to get better before we return.
I came into Jack’s for lunch and had a pleasant experience. It was definitely busy and I ended up waiting about 25 mins for my sandwich. I am happy to report that my sandwich was delicious! I got the dirty bird and the sandwich was super fresh and hot when it got to me. The service was friendly and I will be returning to try some of the cold sandwiches!
My first visit was today. I had Matt's Shrimp Concoction, and I loved it! If you're in Cobb, Fulton, or even Douglas Counties then please stop here! 👍🏾
We have been going to breakfast on Sunday mornings for several years now. Ever since the new owner took over slowly the staff quality and food quality started going downhill to the point where this morning was the worst ever. We pretty much paid 30 dollars for swill.
The toast must be made up ahead of time due to the fact it comes out cold making spreading butter and jelly on it impossible. The bacon was burnt to a crisp, the over medium eggs came out one step over being raw. The potatoes were not only burnt but so loaded down with salt after just one bite my mouth is still screaming for water a couple of hours later. You must ask for real silverware or they will give you plastic which is useless.
And on top of that you never know how much you’re going to pay. You go one Sunday and it’s a certain price, you go the next Sunday get the same thing and it’s 7 dollars more. Go back following and it’s 7 dollars less. If you try to ask why there is such a change in prices every week you just get this strange look from the cashier mumbling UH and then asking you to repeat your order.
I have hesitated to write a review thinking it is just a one off each week, but it does nothing but keeps getting worse. I really don’t know where all these good reviews are coming from that I see because I sure as heck haven’t experienced anything like that in a long time now when going for Sunday Breakfast. This will probably be the last time we go.
